A1: no steak sauce, all aspis
A1: One of the things I like about this module is the cover art. There are also a wide range of another things I like about the module: aspis, the giant sundew in room 5, a false slavers’ lair, a real slavers’ lair, a glyph of warding, to name a few. The cover art is memorable for its use of a female dwarf and a magic user giving the secret devil sign as he casts a light spell or a small, small fireball.
I can’t think of many other occurrences of female dwarfs, especially female dwarfs swinging battle hammers and wearing a leather kilt. But let’s not forget the aspis; that upright ant is bringing two shields, a long sword, and some other unidentifiable pole arm. At least I think it is attached to the aspis. It is difficult to tell from the drawing. Nevertheless, the dwarf and the aspis are locked in what should be mortal combat.
As usual, the party is ganging up on the poor monsters. Notice the thief hanging from the ceiling; that aspis has no idea that the halfling is about to give it the short sword in the insectoid back trick, probably rolling double damage. That aspis was one day from retirement.
On the back cover is more evidence that the players are sneaky. Some slender thief or fighter/thief is about to waylay an unsuspecting half-orc. From the bandage on his arm, it looks like the half-orc has already seen some action–probably trying to save his partner, the aspis. Now we have a Lethal Weapon scenario on our hands.

We salute our Dwarven battle sisters
